The winter is one tough time of the year and it’s coming up in only 9 days! This is just enough time to get a winter wardrobe ready to fight off snow storms, blustery winds and low, low temperatures. As we discussed a few weeks ago, keeping your winter wardrobe from making you look puffy and unfashionable can be a difficult task. We named a few items that are perfect for keeping your winter fashion up-to-date, but these choices were also a bit traditional. Keeping this in mind, here are a few items that will up your “trendy factor” in the winter of 2012 – 2013:
Jacket Looks – Although we discussed peacoats earlier, you need to know what type to get. This year, bold, bright and patterned is in. If you can find a bright plaid peacoat, you will be the envy of your friends. Not only will a peacoat naturally slim your midsection, but having a range of colors outside of black and grey will allow you to accessorize in a number of ways!
Western Style Boots – It might seem impossible to have boots that are not only perfect for keeping your feet dry and away from salt, sand and snow, but also have them be beautiful as well. Luckily, western style winter boots are here to rescue your feet from ugly traditional winter boots. Featuring rhinestone crosses and a tough suede exterior, your feet will be safe from the weather while looking fantastic.
Leather and Animal Prints – More and more this year, you will be seeing leather and animal prints available on winter clothing like gloves, jackets, beanies and more. Not only are these two styles popular throughout the year, now they are becoming part of the cold season as well. Be on the lookout for leather and animal print clothing this winter – they are definitely IN!
