Weekly Handbag Roundup

This week, we will be (as usual) looking at the celebs and who is carrying what bag and why. We have ourselves a smattering of celebs from A-list to C-list, so this should make for an interesting perusal of Rodeo Drive fashionista style.

First on the docket is C-lister tween queen Vanessa Hudgens, star of such masterpieces as High School Musical 2. For some reason, people seem to care about Vanessa and her fashion, so let’s dig in. Vanessa was seen out with a J.J. Winters Hornback Bag, which is quite large with a light brown exterior. It also features studs, which will not die this season, so I’ll just let it go. I’m not sure if a brown bag with black clothing is a faux pas, but if it is, Vanessa needs a new stylist…stat! Doesn’t the girl know about colors?

Before I get into the bag, don’t be offended by the B-list status I have given Jessica. Just try and remember when she mattered in a movie. Moving on. Jessica’s bag, which is studded like every bag ever, is cool because it was made as a collaboration between a jeweler and a fashion designer. According to this blog entry, they are hard to come by, so don’t go looking at your local handbag store.

Finally, we have A-lister Fergie, who seems to be ahead of the curve with a drawstring tote bag, which are looking to be really hot next season. This long handled tote has studs (what else?) and features a rather exotic pattern on the exterior. Definitely a Cleobella bag – this one is called Neveah. Fergie has always been and will continue to be a trendsetter, so be on the lookout for more drawstring totes this fall and winter. Don’t act like you’re surprised.
